They cover the usual supsects; the Golden Ratio, but there is another Indian-based ‘philosophy’ that I have never come across before, Kundli, which is based on horoscope charts. Interesting stuff.

Nick La of Web Designer Wall has posted his predictions of the way web sites will be designed in 2010. Not too many surprises in his post but it makes for an interesting read.

There is a specific section on Minimalist & Grid Designs where Nick says:

Minimalist and grid designs are not today’s new. They have been popular for the past couple years and I think it will continue to grow in 2010.

Basel Pilgrimage

Oliver Bothwell of noclichésallowed spent the last week with the Information Design pathway exploring the typographic history of Switzerland in and around Basel.

noclichésallowed is a collaboration started by seven graphic designers all of whom have a link to the LCC.

Oliver has put together a nice collection of vintage posters and other snaps that he took on his trip over on Flickr.
